APPLICATION FOR ADMISSIONS INTO UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES (DEGREE, DIPLOMA AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES) FOR THE 2017/2018 ACADEMIC YEAR
Mzumbe University invites applications from qualified Tanzanians and non-Tanzanians for admission into degree, diploma and certificate programmes offered by the University for the academic year 2017/2018.
Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing (BBA-MKT), Bachelor of Accounting and Finance in Business Sector (BAF-BS), Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Bachelor in Human Resources Management (BHRM) are offered at both Mzumbe University Main Campus and Mbeya Campus College. Applicants wishing to be enrolled into one of these programmes have to clearly indicate their campus preference during their application.

GENERAL MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DEGREE PROGRAMMES
(a) Direct Entry Qualifications
(i) Must hold at least three (3) O-level credit passes in relevant subjects according to specific programme.
(ii) The applicant must have at least two principal level passes in the A- level, provided that the total number of
points is at least 4.5 with EXCEPTION of programmes offered by Faculty of Science and Technology which2
requires at least 4.0 A-level points; in the scale where A=5; B=4; C=3; D=2; E=1; S=0.5 or scale where A=5;
B+=4; B=3; C=2; D=1; E=0.5 (for candidates who sat for their Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education
Examination in the year 2014 and 2015). Also note that for the candidates who sat for their Advanced
Certificate of Secondary Education Examination in the year 2014 and 2015, the Principal Pass starts with C)
(b) Equivalent Entry Qualifications
(i) Appropriate Diploma from an accredited institution of not less than 3.0 GPA. In addition, the candidate must
have at least four passes at Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education (O-level).
(ii) Specific requirements for entry to a particular Programme are presented in the programme specific requirements
in section B.
NOTE: Divinity/Bible knowledge, Arabic Language and Islamic Knowledge are NOT considered in the
computation of points.
