DRIVER
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3 – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people.
ROLE PURPOSE:
Under the guidance of the Logistics officer, the driver will be responsible for managing the transportation of the programme staff for successful implementation of the programme activities. He/she will be responsible for transporting staff across Tanzania to implement programs and other official businesses.
SCOPE OF ROLE:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Driver must know:
•All traffic regulations.
•Preventative maintenance required for the vehicle.
•Basic first aid techniques.
•Actions to be taken in the event of an accident.
• Basic Knowledge on vehicle maintenance and repair
•Be able to fill forms and documents.
Support transport to Save the Children Staffs
– Maintain a valid driving license, registration and valid permits at all the time.
– Providing periodic usage report of vehicle including total mileage, fuel consumption and expenditure.
– Follow and abide by the traffic rules, regulations, driver safety manual and any other instructions given by Driver Supervisor or management.
– Ensure the filling of log book for each travel allocated for the Programme staffs both in local and outstation travel.
– Ensure the staffs are well supported for transport from office to the field office.
– Handle transport of all staff, visitor and equipment/materials.
– Maintain vehicles including fuel, lubrication, and oil, interior and exterior.
– Prepare mileage and fuel consumption.
– Report and supervise all maintenance and repair needs of assign vehicle.
– Maintain vehicle first aid box, communication equipment and fire extinguisher and protect the vehicle while at outside office premises.
– Help in loading and unloading of official materials
– Work after duty hours or on holidays as and when required as per program needs and supervisor instructions.
– Ready for extensive field visits during odd days and time.
Reporting
– Reporting is an essential part of the position’s job description, including fuel consumptions, vehicle maintenance and vehicle repair.
– Reporting shall be made to the Logistic Officer and health programme manager and sharing lessons learned as per donors and SC requirements.
– Completion of all reporting requirements in line with Save the Children requirements
Other
– The Driver may be responsible for additional tasks and duties as and when required to support the overall Country Programme priorities.
– The post holder is required to comply with SCI policy and practice requirements with respect to health and safety, child protection, child safeguarding, equal opportunities, anti-fraud and corruption policy, and other relevant policies and procedures.
– The post holder will be responsible to fulfill any other duty assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Form Four graduate or higher education is desirable
Holder of a PSV Certificate from the National Institute of Transport (NIT)
At least three years’ experience of successful driving both in towns and up country
Significant experience working as a driver with an international non-governmental organization, donors and government bodies for health programmes.
Have valid driving license, registration and valid permits at all the time.
Understanding and commitment to principles of child rights and child protection.
Commitment to and understanding of SCI’s aims, values and principles.
Excellent written and spoken English and Kiswahili.

PROGRAMME COORDINATOR - GLOBAL FUND PROJECT MANAGEMENT UNIT
CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 2 - the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have occasional contact with or access to children or young people.
ROLE PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing effective administrative support to PMU. She is mainly involved in operational coordination and administration including program support functions. Duties include organizing schedules, work plans meetings with SRs, setting and coordinating meetings in and out of the office, taking meeting minutes, assisting in preparation of presentations and publishing reports, planning and managing all official international and national travel arrangements, and accompanying visitors to program operational areas.
The coordinator will also ensure that GF PMU is well-managed and that all project deliverables are received and distributed in a timely manner.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Chief of Party
Dimensions: Based in Dar es Salaam, and interacting with Global Fund stakeholders and other SCI Tanzania program team.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Assist to finalize different reports of program interventions
Assist to prepare quality assessment report and training report when required from the HIV/TB Team
Provide support to M&E team and the SRs with respect to coordination of program activities and data collection and aggregation
Manage correspondence and communication for senior management and oversee filing of key GF documents in both electronic and hard copy format.
Schedule and maintain CoP and PMU staff calendar and organize relevant documentation in advance of meetings.
Drafting communication with partners, donors and other key stakeholders of the GF grant.
Assist to print and circulate letters, published documents to partners, development partners and to government agencies.
Prepare pre-travel-related processes for PMU staff including travel requests, visa applications, travel advances, and logistical arrangements.
Serve as the primary liaison with SC’s support divisions, particularly IT and logistics Services
Coordinate GF PMU weekly and monthly internal meetings, including compiling the agenda, organizing meeting rooms, taking minutes, and maintaining meeting reports.
Support CoP correspondence with field- and SC technical staff and the SC project management unit ,
Maintain key administrative trackers for the project, including vacation schedules, performance evaluations, staff development, and HQ and field staff travel for safety and security purposes.
Prepare graphs/charts and other communication materials using relevant applications for use by the project/section.
Establish/maintain SC’s standard filing systems, important correspondence records and other documents appropriately upon checked and signed by the concerned staff and the CoP
Maintain and update all files in time and make quick delivery as and when requested by the concerned staff, e.g. Data file, Memo, Reports, Attendance records, etc.
Submit purchase request to the concerned person for approval and make the materials available in time.
In conjunction with the Logistics Officer, organize necessary logistics e.g. stationeries, vehicle, venue and other materials in time as per requirement by the project/section.
Prepare and collect timesheets and work schedule for the PMU staff
Coordinate logistical and administrative needs (e.g., ordering project supplies
Keeping regular contact of all staff under HIV/TB sector, in coordination with the HR/Admin Manager and Logistics Manager.
Contact with the different concerned persons as and when necessary
Coordinate with Project focal persons for timely and regular submission of reports, schedule and circulate them in a systematic way.
Assist in arranging in-house and outside meeting, workshop, seminar and training. Ensure all sorts of logistic support for training and settle all training related financial matters.
· Update list of workshop and training venues and communicate with the HIV/TB Team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Humanities (Masters’ preferred)
Additional professional certificates: Excellent spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
Computer knowledge: Superior command of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint are unconditionally necessary, Microsoft Project preferred), Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and strong familiarity with search engines and online information reference resources are also pre-requisites.
Working Experience: At least 4 years of experience, including support to senior management, office management, and related activities required. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in challenging, deadline driven environment is essential. Excellent interpersonal communication skills - in English and Kiswahili - are required.
Skills: Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills
· NGO experience and knowledge of human rights and protection issues preferred
· Excellent communication skills in Kswahili and English - Able to fluently and accurately translate between Kiswahili and English
· Willingness to work long hours and meet strict deadlines, as needed

Role Purpose:

Qualifications and Experience
Masters degree in Education, Social Science, Policy or equivalent fields.
Minimum five years of relevant area work experience in leading design and implementation of development programmes (a background in education/early childhood development programming is desirable but not essential).
Experience of leading complex, innovative and adaptive programmes within a context of wider sector change.
Demonstrated experience in working effectively with CSOs, beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Experience in building relationships, fostering inter agency coordination and experience of representing an organisation to external parties.
Strong demonstrable skills and experience in programme management, monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability.
Substantial budget holding responsibilities-experience of managing an annual budget of approximately $500,000.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proven leadership skills -previous experience of line managing staff.
High level report writing skills in English.
