Finance and Accounting Manager

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in financial analysis for at least 3 large scale projects or organizations of a similar nature and complexity during the last 10 years.

Proven ability to provide sound financial analysis and review financial data.

Previous experience analyzing and reporting variances for project financial performance.

Strong computer skills and ability to utilize word-processing and database applications including MS Office, Familiar with utilizing advanced computerized financial applications.

Excellent knowledge of and be fully familiar with the relevant norms, standards and procedures, as well as local legislation, circumstances and practices.

Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Strong presentation skills (document-based and verbal).

Ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.

Ability to work as part of a high-performing and multi-disciplinary team, often operating under tight deadlines and timetables.


Procurement – Contracts Manager

Required Qualifications:

Extensive work experience of at least six (6) years in procurement and implementation in the public sector and donor related/funded projects with at least three of them at senior level

Demonstrated advanced knowledge and understanding of Tanzanian procurement procedures is a strong preference – emphasis shall be on the practical application of the Tanzanian laws and regulations

At least two (2) years’ experience in dealing with or managing procurement’s for donor funded projects, and specific experience with World Bank funded projects is an added advantage

Conversant with modern project and construction management techniques, work programming, cost estimation, measurement/payment certification, and dealing with claims/dispute resolution, utilizing advanced computerized applications associated therewith


Program Manager

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years’ experience working in the developing world, at least 5 in Africa with a strong preference for Tanzania experience and minimum of 5 years’ management experience.

Minimum 3 assignments working in the developing world, at least 1 in Africa with a strong preference for Tanzania experience.

Experience with capacity building of third world nationals on at least 2 assignments with a strong preference for Africa experience.

Construction supervision/oversight experience on at least 4 projects, 2 of which must be in the developing world. Preference for water infrastructure.

Proven cultural sensitivity and adaptability.

Strong project scheduling skills.

Proven project financial management skills with one or more projects sized greater than USD $50 M.

Excellent writing skills and use of the full suite of Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and Project, Outlook.


Project Controls Manager

Required Qualifications:

At least 10 years’ demonstrable experience with program controls for multi contract projects involving both consultants and contractors involved with large infrastructure projects

Managed project controls on at least one (1) project with a value of over $50 million and containing multiple project components

Experience with program and project management software

Excellent oral and written communications skills in English, and the ability to prepare reports.

Ability to work as part of a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team, under tight deadlines

Ability to function independently

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Oracle Primavera Scheduling (or similar software) and Contract management tools


Deputy Program Manager

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years’ experience working in engineering construction supervision with extensive experience with water infrastructure projects.

Minimum of 5 years’ management experience.

Construction supervision/oversight and contract management experience on at least 4 projects in Tanzania. Preference for water infrastructure.

Strong project scheduling skills.

Excellent writing skills and use of the full suite of Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and Project, Outlook.

Fluency in Swahili and English required.
