CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY
The Canadian High Commission is seeking a consultant to provide monitoring support to Global Affairs Canada in Tanzania, in collaboration with a Canadian Monitor, for a group of six (6) health projects largely focused on maternal and newborn health and midwifery. The contract is expected to be for approximately 4 years, with a maximum possible Level of Effort of 350 days. The consultant will work with the Canadian Monitor to ensure effective coordination, communication, and sharing of best practices and lessons learned to enable Global Affairs Canada and partners to use monitoring feedback for any necessary adjustments to ensure results.
A combination of the bidder's price and experience will be factored into the selection. Bidders will be evaluated on the following criteria:
Professional experience providing administrative and organizational capacity support (preferably to health stakeholders).Professional experience in coordinating, liaising and sharing information with Government, development partner, civil society and/or private sector stakeholders (health stakeholders preferred).Professional experience in applying results-based management approaches in the design, planning, monitoring and evaluation of development projects or programs (for health projects preferred).Knowledge of the Health Sector policy priorities and processes in Tanzania, including planning, management and budgeting of public sector resources.Experience with maternal and newborn, child health (MNCH), Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender Equality(GE), health systems strengthening (HSS), as well as work in community-level initiatives is an asset.Price (proposed all-inclusive per diem rate).Applicants must have, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree from a recognized university, and six months of experience within the last five (5) years in providing monitoring and evaluation support.
The assignment also requires the ability to communicate ideas in a manner conducive to their practical application, work with teams to add value to collective results, and use Microsoft and other common computer software applications proficiently. Applicants must be fully fluent in both Kiswahili and English (both written and oral).
