JOB OPPORTUNITY AT ACDI/VOCA JULY 2017

ACDI/VOCA,an international NGO with Headquarters based in Washington, D.C., is currently advertising for the position outlined below forthe Feed the Future Tanzania Nafaka Activity.
Position: Finance Manager
Location: lringa
Reports to: Chief of Party
Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will ensure compliance with all government, donor, and company policies and procedures related to finance and accounting. S/he will supervise and build capacity of the accounting team, maintain all financial records, estimate monthly cash requirements, and submit all monthly financial reports.
. Financial Management: Establish applicable internal controls and recommend modifications as needed; Perform and maintain all the financial reporting on time and in line with ACDIA/OCA, government, and donor policies and procedures.
. Financial Reports: Prepare and submit complete, accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and ACDIA/OCA requirements.
. Budgets: Monitor project budget and track all expenses and disbursements against the budget.
. Payroll: Process staff payroll including calculating and deducting as appropriate.
. Sub-grant Management: Oversee sub-recipient agreement financial compliance, budget tracking and projections and ensure they are following all required financial accounting procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:
. University degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred a Master’s degree.
. A minimum of ten years’experience working in donor{unded projects in Tanzania.
. CPA(K)/ACCA or equivalent certification
. A minimum of three years using ERP system (Agresso, SAP, others)
. Advanced knowledge of accounting software (preferably QuickBooks) is required.
. Excellent skills in using Excel for planning/review/analysis purposes
. Proven knowledge of USAID rules and regulations
. Demonstrated knowledge of Tanzanian accounting standards. Knowledge of US Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles strongly preferred.
. Experience in managing team. Ability to lead, manage and build capacity of staff
. Strong analytical skills, including ability develop appropriate recommendations for action.
. High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
. Self-motivated and able to follow through to end of assignments while meeting goals and deadlines.
. Excellent written and spoken English skills
