JOB - CREDIT MANAGER- HOUSING

Micro-finance, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
An outstanding position for a Credit Manager- Housing to join a fast growing micro- finance company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, control and direct all company's lending operations in the assigned market segment in such a way as to minimize risk and maximize profit.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Collaborate with and support the Human Resources Manager in matters pertaining to departmental recruitment, training, development, employee relations, supervision and performance evaluation
Support the development and implementation of effective business development, portfolio quality and loan recovery strategies
Implement strategies and operational plans to ensure company's growth, profitability and achievement of all related performance indicators and employment of necessary corrective actions as required
Regularly review and ensure application of policies, procedures and internal controls relevant to the scope of authority and accountability of the position
Provide departmental status reports as required
Ensuring the effective transfer of information and skills and staff development by organizing activities

JOB DESCRIPTION
Identify strategic role players and stakeholders and engage all stakeholders and industry forums to understand changes to strategy, reguations and markets.
Direct the review and design of the optimal business model and deliver on required changes
Implement performance controls to proactively measure achievement against strategic targets and address changes or non- performance
Based on proposals brought by leaders in the unit, review opportunities for investment or disinvestment of resources and make capital allocation decisions within mandate .
Coach the area management team on how to conduct meaningful performance .
Report all risk events/ incident/issues using the defined process for your business area and how to prevent them in future.
