1.0 MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
A candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to a firstdegree programme at Ardhi University if the candidate has obtained:
A. Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C. S. E. E.) or equivalent, with passes in FIVE approved subjects, obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A. C. S. E. E.) or equivalent
AND
B. At least two principal level passes in appropriate subject with total points not below 4.0 for Art subjects combination or 4.0 for science subjects combination based on the following grade to point conversion scale.
A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1, S = 0.5
OR
C. An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NACTE Ordinary Diploma or any other Diploma/Certificate of not less than Second class/Credit level from recognised institutions and approved by the University Senate.
Note: (i) Applicants from countries which follow an 8-4-4 education system need to complete at least one year of study at a University in their own countries before they can be considered for admission. (ii) Principal level passes in Religious studies are not counted.
2.0 PROGRAMMES AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS BY THE SCHOOLS
2.1 SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN (SADE)
2.1.1 Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Two or more Principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Fine Art. In addition, a candidate must have at least a Subsidiary level pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or a grade C at C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second Class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.1.2 Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (B.Sc. ID)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Two or more Principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Fine Art. In addition, a candidate must have at least a Subsidiary level pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or a grade C at C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second Class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.1.3 Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (B.Sc. LA)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Two or more Principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Fine Art. In addition, a candidate must have at least a Subsidiary level pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or a grade C at C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second Class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.2 SCHOOL OF URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING (SURP)
2.2.1 Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning (B.Sc. URP)
(i) Direct entry (Form VI) Qualification
Two or more principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, History, Mathematics, Commerce and Accountancy. In addition, a candidate must have at least a subsidiary pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E or at least a D grade pass at C.S.E.E.
Preferential consideration will be accorded to candidates with a combination of Economics, Geography, Mathematics and Biology and a pass in English language in the event of a tie in points.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or any other Diploma/FTC of at least Second Class or grade B level from an institution approved by the University Senate.
2.2.2 Bachelor of Science in Regional Development Planning (B.Sc. RDP)
(i) Direct entry (Form VI) Qualification
Two or more principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, History, Mathematics, Commerce and Accountancy. In case one of the principal level pass is not Mathematics, the candidate MUST have at least a subsidiary pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or a pass at C.S.E.E.
Preferential consideration will be accorded to candidates with a combination of Economics, Geography, Mathematics and Biology and a pass in English language in the event of a tie in points.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or any other Diploma/FTC of at least Second Class or grade B level from an institution approved by the University Senate.
2.2.3 Bachelor of Science in Housing and Infrastructure Planning (B.Sc. HIP)
(i) Direct entry (Form VI) Qualification
Two or more principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, History, Mathematics, Commerce and Accountancy. In addition, a candidate MUST have at least a subsidiary pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or a pass at C.S.E.E.

2.2.4 Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BA. Eco.)
(i) Direct entry (Form VI) Qualification
Two principal passes in any of the following; Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography, Economics, History, Commerce and Accountancy. In addition a subsidiary pass in Advanced Mathematics/BAM or at least a credit pass in Mathematics at “O” level is required.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or any other Diploma/FTC of at least Second Class or grade B level from an institution approved by the University Senate.
2.2.5 Bachelor of Arts in Community and Development Studies (BA. CDS)
(i) Direct entry (Form VI) Qualification
Two principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Geography, Economics, History, Commerce, Accountancy, Agricultural Science and Nutrition. In addition, a candidate MUST have at least a subsidiary pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or at least D at C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or any other Diploma/FTC of at least Second Class or grade B level from an institution approved by the University Senate.
2.3 SCHOOL OF REAL ESTATE STUDIES (SRES)
2.3.1 Bachelor of Science in Land Management and Valuation (B.Sc. LMV)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Principal level passes in any two of the following subjects: Geography, Economics, Mathematics, History, English Literature, Commerce, Accountancy, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. In addition, a candidate MUST have at least a subsidiary pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or at least C grade at C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or any other Diploma of not less than Second Class/Grade B from a recognized institutions approved by the University Senate.
2.3.2 Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment (B.Sc. REFI)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Principal level passes in any two of the following subjects: Geography, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, Accountancy, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. In addition, a candidate MUST have at least a subsidiary pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or at least C grade at C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or any other Diploma of not less than Second Class/Grade B from an institution approved by the University Senate.
2.3.3 Bachelor of Science in Property and Facilities Management (B.Sc. PFM)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Principal level passes in any two of the following subjects: Geography, Economics, Mathematics, History, English Literature, Commerce, Accountancy, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. In addition, a candidate MUST have at least a subsidiary pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E. or at least C grade at C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or any other Diploma of not less than Second Class/Grade B from an institution approved by the University Senate.
2.3.4 Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance (B.Sc. AF)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Principal level passes in any two of the following subjects: Geography, Economics, Mathematics, History, English Literature, Commerce, Accountancy, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. In addition at least a subsidiary pass in English Literature and Mathematics/BAM at A.C.S.E.E or a pass in English and Mathematics at C.S.E.E is required.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
An appropriate equivalent Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or any other Diploma of not less than Second Class/Grade B from an institution approved by the University Senate.
2.4 SCHOOL OF CONSTRUCTION ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT
2.4.1 Bachelor of Science in Building Economics (B.Sc. BE)
(i) Direct Entry Qualifications
Two or more principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Geography and Accounts. In addition, a candidate MUST have at least a subsidiary level pass in Mathematics at A level and at least a pass in Physics at O level.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.4.2 Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.Sc. CE)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Principal level pass in Mathematics AND Principal level pass in either Physics or Chemistry or Geography. The candidate must have taken Physics at A level. Candidates without principal level pass in Chemistry at A level must have a credit pass at O level.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.5 SCHOOL OF GEOSPATIAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY
2.5.1 Bachelor of Science in Geomatics
(i) Direct Entry(Form VI) Qualifications
A Principal level pass in Mathematics and a Principal level pass in either Physics or Geography or Chemistry or Computer Science. If the second Principal level pass is not Physics, the candidate must at least have a subsidiary pass in Physics in addition to the two Principal level passes.
(ii) Equivalent qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.5.2 Bachelor of Science in Geoinformatics
(i) Direct Entry(Form VI) Qualifications
A Principal level pass in Mathematics and a Principal level pass in either Physics or Geography or Chemistry or Computer Science. If the second Principal level pass is not Physics, the candidate must at least have a subsidiary pass in Physics in addition to the two Principal level passes.
(ii) Equivalent qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.5.3 Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management (BSc. ISM)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
A principal level pass in Mathematics AND a principal level pass in Physics or Chemistry or Geography or Computer Science or Economics.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.6 SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY (SEST)
2.6.1 Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering (B.Sc. EE)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Principal level passes in at least two of the following subjects; Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. An applicant must have at least a Subsidiary level pass in Physics and Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.6.2 Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Management (B.Sc. ESM)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Principal level passes in at least two of the following subjects; Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography and Biology. One of the two principal level passes must be in Physics or Chemistry or Biology. In addition an applicant must have at least a Subsidiary level pass in Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
2.6.3 Bachelor of Science in Municipal and Industrial Services Engineering (B.Sc. MISE)
(i) Direct Entry (Form VI) Qualifications
Principal level passes in at least two of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. An applicant must have at least a Subsidiary level pass in Physics and Mathematics at A.C.S.E.E.
(ii) Equivalent Qualifications
A relevant Diploma such as International Bacclaurete (IB) Diploma, NTA level 6 or FTC of not less than Second class or grade B or any other Diploma after passing A.C.S.E.E.
