On behalf of the Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC), President’s Office, Public Service Recruitment Secretariat invites qualified Tanzanians to fill 28 vacant posts as mentioned below;

1.0 BACKGROUND
The Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC) is a Government Executive Agency established in 2000 as a direct response to fill a void for a sustainable public service training institution. TPSC offers programmes that are directly linked to Government business agenda and demand driven. As the demands for the public service to offer quality services at affordable costs increase, it is imperative that the service should be staffed with competent personnel. Hence, TPSC’s core business is to develop the appropriate public service competences, which will transform the service into effective and efficient machinery that will strive to meet citizen’s needs in terms of services. TPSC’s Mission is to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the public service of Tanzania by providing comprehensive training, consultancy and applied research interventions.

1.1 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (Records and Archives Management)– (8) POSTS
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Conduct short and long term courses
ii. Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercise
iii. Conducts research, seminars and case studies
iv. Carries out under supervision consultancy and community services
v. Supervises students project
vi. Prepares teaching manuals

1.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Records and Archives Management
 Candidate should be eligible for registration as technical teacher with a G.P.A of not
less than 3.5 in Bachelor degree.
 Computer knowledge will be an added advantage

1.1.4 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (Secretarial Studies) – (6) POSTS.

1.1.32 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT – (1) POST
1.1.33 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Prepares file register.
ii. Receives letters from customers and records them in relevant register.
iii. Stamps all in coming mails
iv. Opens mail collected from the post office.
v. Keeps in safe custody files and documents.
vi. Maintains a record of file movement.
vii. Takes daily note of files in various offices to up-date the file movement
viii. Traces missing files
1.1.34 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Holder of National form IV with Certificate in Records and Archives Management (NTA Level 5) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
 Computer knowledge will be an added advantage

1.1.36 ADMISSION OFFICER – 2 POSTS
1.1.37 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Performs functions of students’ admissions
ii. Allocates students in respective NTA Levels
iii. Assists in determination of enrolments budgets in a semester in all programmes.
iv. Prepares report of registered students for other use/decision making processes.
v. Coordinates students’ orientation program in liaison with dean of students.
vi. Teaches up to NTA level 6
vii. Supervises students’ field and project reports
1.1.38 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics /Statistics OR Computer Science, Data Base
Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution with a G.P.A of not less than 3.5 in Bachelor degree.
 Computer knowledge will be an added advantage

1.1.40 LIBRARY OFFICER – 2 POSTS
1.1.41 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Assists in preparation of reference materials to students & academic staff
ii. Identifies reading materials for users
iii. Assists in preparation of issuance Library material policies
iv. Prepares and documents library users
v. Assists in preparation and documentation of all library information using computer technology
vi. Supervises Library Assistants
vii. Maintains public and staff catalogues.
1.1.42 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor Degree in Library and Information Studies or equivalent from a recognized institution.
 Computer knowledge will be an added advantage
1.1.43 REMUNERATION

1.1.44 SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR – 2 POSTS
1.1.45 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Carries out routine maintenance of all MIS in the college
ii. Assists in the installation of hardware and software and problems troubleshooting
iii. Assists Students and other ICT users in the institution
iv. Conducts college’s networks, intranets and internet connectivity
v. Assists in acquisition of hardware and software
vi. Assists in maintenance of database and secondary storage facilities
vii. Teaches NTA up to Level 6
viii. Supervises students fields and project reports
1.1.46 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, Database
Management or equivalent from a recognized institution.

1.1.48 ACCOUNTANT II – 1 POST
1.1.49 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Approves payment vouchers
ii. Prepares monthly revenue & expenditure reports.
iii. Supervises Assistant Accountants in their daily activities
iv. Undertakes bank reconciliation
v. Prepares imprests utilization reports
vi. Supervises accounting functions in a section
1.1.50 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
 Bachelor Degree in Accounting and who has acquired CPA (T), or equivalent
qualifications registered as Associate Certified Public Accountant.
 Computer knowledge will be an added advantage
1.1.51 REMUNERATION
