BANK TELLER – 5 POSTS

Job Description

Responsible for effective and efficient customer service delivery and ensuring that customers are assisted at all times with both cash and noncash transactions as per the required turnaround time.

Reports to – Branch Accountant.

Duties and responsibilities

Attending customers with courtesy and integrity when receiving deposits and paying withdrawals according to the laid down bank procedures and regulatory requirements.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Holders of Degree/Advanced Diploma in, Banking and Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration or related.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge.

Proven fundamentals skills of telling duties for banks and financial Institutions.
Conversant with Anti –Money Laundering act.
Possession of a proven customer services skills.

Work experience

Experience in banking business will be an added advantage.

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR – 1 POST

Job Description

A professional Database Administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Reports to ICT – Manager.

Duties and responsibilities.

Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.
Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views.
Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Holders of Degree/Advanced Diploma in either Computer Science; Engineering or Information Technology or related from recognized institution.

Work experience

At least two years of work experience in working with Team Viewer; Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10; Active Directory and MSSQL and MS Exchange in a reputable organization. Experience in banking sector will be an added advantage.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

Proven working experience as a Database administrator.
Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications.
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools.
Familiarity with programming languages API.

CREDIT OFFICER – 1 POST

Job Description

Responsible for building up and maintain a substantial and high quality loan portfolio as per the bank’s quarterly and annual targets.

Reports to Branch Supervisor – Credit Supervisor Duties and responsibilities
To scrutinise loan applications, to review feasibility reports and prepare appraisal reports and accompanying memorandum for action of by relevant loan sanctioning authority.
To maintain borrower’s files and ensure that all pre-disbursement conditions are fulfilled.
To carry out regular follow up visits to projects and supervise their implementation.
To formulate and initiate action and loan recoveries.
To follow up progress of on-going bank financed project/business monitoring.
To provide a checklist for business/project monitoring.
Processing credit proposals received from Branches and submitting them with recommendations to the concerned higher authorities.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

LOAN OFFICER –SOLIDARITY GROUP LENDING – 3 POSTS

Job Description

Responsible for recruitment and training of clients as per the banks laid down policies and procedures during registration, loan applications, appraisal, loan disbursement and recovery.

Reports to – Branch Supervisor –Solidarity Group Lending

Duties and responsibilities

Administering group loans application, appraisal and disbursement.
Managing loan portfolio to ensure that the portfolio at risk is very small.
Preparation of portfolio monthly and Quarterly reports.
Answer enquiries concerning loan balances, penalties and credit standing of customers.
Keep records of arrears (behind in payments) and prepare routine letters or make telephone calls requesting payment.
Make recommendations to the Credit Supervisor about the likelihood of recovering loans and whether legal action will be required.
Prepare reports on credit ratings of customers.
Relocates, identifies, seeks contact with defaulters and reminds them of their obligations towards the bank and/or discusses with them how to serve the outstanding loan. This shall involve a re-analysis of the defaulter’s financial status followed by a comprehensive agreement with the customer on a rescheduled repayment plan.
Properly classifies all loans under his/her control and informs Head of Credit of necessary provisions every month;
Performs daily, weekly, monthly loan accounting work, as required for off-balance sheet loans (written off);
Compiles all required periodic recovery returns for the Branch;
To ensure strict and continuous follow-up of his/her outstanding portfolio by checking the daily up-dated arrears list;
To ensure that records of all loans paid off are properly filed away and securities are delivered to legitimate owners.

CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER – 3 POST

Job Description

Assist in branch business growth through provision of satisfactory desk customer services.

Reports to -Customer Service Supervisors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
Handle and resolve customer complaints.
Manage customers’ accounts.
Keep records of customer interactions and transactions.
Comply with KYC and AML Regulations.
Ensure customer information is kept confidential and only released to the right persons.
Adhere to all control measures (checks, dual control) in respect of cheque book library, fixed deposit receipts, ATM Cards, controlled stationery, destruction of security documents etc.
Execute flagging of lost cards, stop payments and other instructions promptly.
Ensure customer mandates are always kept up to date.
Ensure customer information and signatures are up-to-date promptly in the system.

Job Description

Reports to – Operations Supervisor.

Main duties and responsibilities

To conduct reconciliation for ATM suspense accounts.
To conduct reconciliation for western union and post their respective transaction.
To process and dispatch Cheque books.
To process and dispatch Savings ID cards.
To input TISS transfers.
To conduct reconciliation for Interbank accounts.
To follow up clearance of branch long outstanding suspense accounts; and
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Job Description

To assist other members of the team as and when necessary in the delivery of ICT projects, maintaining and supporting ICT systems, solutions and services across the Bank.

Reports to – ICT Manager

Duties and responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 support to address all queries.
Log, monitor and track all incidents and service requests into the call tracking system.
Manage set-up activities for ICT devices.
Key stakeholder engagement on a daily basis.
Provide routine and ad hoc reports on performance of Service Desk.
Telephone and Remote Support.
Maintenance of client networks.
Installation and configuration of clients Desktops and Laptops.
Minimal on-site technical support.
