Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company Limited (KADCO) is a company owned by the government of United Republic of Tanzania charged to manage and develop Kilimanjaro International Airport and its estate.

KADCO is seeking to employ competent, experienced, highly organized and self-motivated Tanzanians to fill the vacant positions described below;

Assistant Aircrafts Marshallers:
Post Number (KADC0/01/2017/AAM)

The incumbent is broadly responsible for providing assistance in directing activities on the apron including aircrafts, vehicles, equipment and pedestrians

Key Responsibilities
To provide technical information concerning aircrafts parking to airline operators and Air Traffic Controllers.
Directing Pilots where to park aircraft on the apron,
Assist in inspection and ensuring cleanliness of the apron area;
Assist in enforcement of safety and security procedures on the aprons
Make sure VIP aircrafts are parked in the required manner.
Ensuring that all working gear are in order
Qualifications

Form VI Certificate with two principal passes in any subject two of which should be English, Mathematics, Geography or Physics
Knowledge in any other foreign language will be an added advantage.
Certificate in Aircraft Marshalling will be an added advantage.

Airport Security Officers:
Post Number (KADC0/02/2017/ASO)

The incumbent is broadly responsible for safeguarding KIA’s property, passengers and cargo against acts of unlawful interference, damage and theft.

Key Responsibilities
Providing screening services to departing passengers, baggage, mail and cargo.
Preventing and spotting any suspicions of theft and burglary at the airport,
Monitoring CCTV and doing general surveillance.
Ensuring security of passengers, cabin crews, aircrafts and visitors at the airport.
Collecting any threat information in respect of insecurity of civil aviation, bomb threats, hijacking and report to the concerned authorities.
Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Science from a recognized Institution.
Knowledge of Aviation Security and any foreign language will be added advantage.
Not below eighteen (18) or above thirty five (35) years of age (ICAO requirement) and has not inclined to drug and alcohol abuse.
Applicants shall be of good mental, physical and health state to the extent necessary to perform the security duties to and adequate standard.
Having clean background check.

Artisans: (Electrician, Carpenter and Plumber)
Post Number (KADCO/03/2017/Art)

The incumbent is broadly responsible for performing wide range of repairs, maintenances and installation of the electrical, carpentry and Plumbing works at KIA.

Key Responsibilities
Implementing preventive maintenance as per schedules/ program
Perform repair works,
Initiate modifications where proved necessary,
Controlling, keeping and protecting working tools and equipment against loss or damage
Checking on daily basis of all airport equipment and facilities such as AGL, pavements and utilities so as to determine need for service or maintenance.
Qualifications

Form IV Certificate
Trade Test Grade III or Level I in Electrical, Carpentry and Plumber from a recognized institution.

Technician (Electrical, Mechanical and Civil):
Post Number (KADCO/04/2017/Tech)

The incumbent is broadly responsible for assisting Senior Technician in executing Electrical, Mechanical and Civil works.

Key Responsibilities
Implementing preventive maintenance as per schedules/ program
Monitoring repair works.
Controlling, keeping and protecting working tools and equipment against loss or damage. Checking on daily basis of all airport equipment and facilities such as AGL, pavements, utilities and vehicles so as to determine need for service or maintenance.

Liaising with other stake holders interested in making alterations to existing structure and report to the supervisor.
Carrying out maintenance work on airport equipment, facilities and infrastructure.
Qualifications

Form IV Certificate
Diploma/Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution
Three (3) years of relevant working experience

VIP Attendant:
Post Number (KADCO/05/2017NA)

The incumbent is broadly responsible for enhancing good guests’ relation and ensuring proper handling and facilitation of VIP passengers.

Key Responsibilities
Enhancing guest relations, VIP handling and facilitation
Serving refreshments to VIP users and ensuring cleanliness of the VIP Lounge
Monitoring and maintain records of dishware and refreshment stock.
Ensure travel of VIP is taken care in most efficient manner in consideration of the sensitivity of the situation without compromising safety and security.
Daily inspection of all electronic devices within the lounge such as telephone, Wi-Fi routers, air conditions and television to ensure they are in good order and work properly.
Assist checking in the VIP and handling their luggage.
Picking up the VIP luggage at the conveyer belt area when they arrive.
Qualifications

Certificate in Hospitality course from a recognized Institution
Form IV Certificate
Knowledge in any other foreign language will be an added advantage.

Business Development Officer
Post Number (KADC0/06/2017/800)

The incumbent is broadly responsible for providing customer care and promoting of Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Key Responsibilities  

Maintaining and updating contract register,
Implementing sound Airport promotion plan,
Implementing customer visit plan in order to develop good business relations,
Inspecting leased premises so as to oversee its proper use and adherence to terms of the agreement,
Receiving and assisting clients by providing them with the necessary information relating to charges and availability of space for lease, advertisement, concessionaire and taxi services.
Preparing and analyzing airport traffic data monthly
Collecting Market intelligence data and information so as to identify threats and opportunities; for management information and decision making
Qualifications

Holder of Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Business Administration specialized in (Marketing) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience in Airport marketing will be an added advantage.
Computer Knowledge.

Airport Operations Officer:
Post Number (KADC0/07/2017/A00)

The incumbent is broadly responsible for assisting Senior Operation Officers in ensuring that airside airport operations are safe and efficiently undertaken, in addition to ensure that efficient services are offered in the terminal building.

Key Responsibilities
Assist to co-ordinate airport, apron and terminal operations to ensure the smooth running of airport activities;
Assist in monitoring activities of apron Management, utilization of airside vehicles and equipment on the airside;
Assist in ensuring cleanliness and smooth operations of terminal buildings, VIP lounge, apron areas and surrounding environment;
Assist in monitoring the availability of services of retail shops, restaurant, taxi and other concessionaires;
Facilitate and monitor the movement and handling of aircraft, passengers and cargo;
Carry out daily aerodrome surface and lighting inspections as required in the Aerodrome Manual and when requested by the Air Traffic Services.
Liaise and monitor quality of services provided by the contracted cleaning team in the Terminal Building and VIP lounge;
Manage wildlife movement at the airport surrounding.
Ensure VIP aircrafts are parked in a required manner.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Laws, Operations/Logistics or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
Certificate of Airport Operations.

Record Management Officer:
Post Number (KADC0/08/2017/RMO)

The incumbent is broadly responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mails and distributing them as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
To ensure that a file register is in place.
To receive incoming mail, stamp and record them in relevant register.
To send mail preview box to preview officers and record daily movement of files
To ensure letters have all attached documents referred to and signed by relevant desk officers after attending them.
To ensure that envelopes are affixed with proper stamps and addressed correctly
To circulate flimsy file to the authorized officers.
Qualifications

Holder of Bachelor Degree in Records Management or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
Three years of relevant working experience in Government organization with highest degree of integrity, good communication and interpersonal skills
Computer knowledge.

Assistant Firemen Officer
The incumbent is broadly responsible for the following responsibilities;

Assist in provision of emergency response services during an aircraft accident or incident which may exist at the time of landing, taking off, taxing, parked etc.
Assist in carrying out inspection of the Rescue and Fire Fighting facilities
Participate in fire drill exercises
Qualifications

Form IV Certificate and passed science subjects Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology
Certificate of Basic Fireman ship
Remuneration
