INVITATION TO APPLY FOR THE UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION WAIVERS FOR THE 2017/2018 ACADEMIC YEAR IN THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA

Tanzania Social Support Foundation also known by acronym as TSSF is the Non Governmental Organization established in 2011 with a legal recognition to work in Tanzania Mainland
The Organization is mainly dealing with the followings;-
(a) Promotion of Education.
(b) Promotion of Health.
(c) Economic Empowerment.
(d) Youths Empowerment.


Tanzania Social Support Foundation is the Non-Governmental Organization that is incorporated under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, Cap. 56 of the Laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, with mandate to operate in Tanzania Mainland. Since its incorporation on 15th September 2011, the TSSF has been actively dealing with Education, Healthcare, Ending poverty, Environment, Providing Legal Aid Services, Youth Empowerment, Women Empowerment, Human Rights and promoting the Good Governance.

Therefore, the Tanzania Social Support Foundation in collaboration with its funding partners from Seattle, Washington, the United States of America, is inviting the applications for the undergraduate scholarships and tuition waivers to be tenable in the Tanzanian Higher Learning Institutions for the 2017/2018 Academic Year with the view of accelerating the high turnover on enrolment of needy students in the higher educational system of the United Republic of Tanzania.

1.0 Modality of Issuance of Scholarships

Scholarships shall cover the tuition fee, meals and accommodation, books and stationeries.

2.0 Modality of Issuance of Tuition Waivers

The grants shall cover the 25% or 50% or 75% of the tuition fee as per the fee structure of the
respective higher learning institution, and the same to be elaborated on the admission letter of the
beneficiary.

3.0 Priorities for Funding

Scholarships and grants shall be prioritized to applicants who shall be pursuing the teaching or
educational related programs, health and allied sciences, natural science related programs, industrial
related programs, business studies and social sciences’ related programs.
